Is that possible? Can one lose ten pounds in two weeks?
That's been confirmed by Dr. William Philip. He relies on the fact that
water represents about 80% of our body, and that weight loss means water
weight loss.
There are two main points we should take care of:
First, consistency of regular meals.
Second, exercise
The answer to the question is: Yes, it could be done easily, according to
Dr. William's theories.
First of all, we must put a plan to reach desired results.
To know which meals will support our plan, we need to know some calculations.
Say you are consuming 3,500 calories per day; you have to know how many
calories you need to cut off from your daily diet, in order to lose the
ten pounds in two weeks.
Here are some basic calculations:
1 pound = 3,500 calories.
10 pounds = 35,000 calories.
"That's what you are planning to get rid of"
2 weeks = 14 days
"That's the period of your plan"
14 days/35,000calories = 2,500 per day.
"That's the calories you'll cut off from your daily diet"
Now, after eliminating 2,500 calories from your daily diet, you’re left
with 1,000 calories, considered to be and unsafe amount.
This takes us to the second main point, which is: exercise. Burn more
calories. That's what you need to do. It allows you to consume more calories
in your daily meals equal to the calories burned.
Performing strenuous exercise and taking a tiny amount of calories will
be very restrictive and torturous.
Food equals energy; and, with a low energy supply, the body will barely
regenerate energy.
The problem here is that the 3,500 calories that you were consuming daily
are far beyond the required, which is 2,000 calories per day.
Thus, we reach a very important conclusion here: It is possible to lose
ten pounds in two weeks by consuming calories close to the common range.
Otherwise, caloric intake will be so low, you'll find yourself losing
not only your weight, but also your health.
If you have a huge number of pounds to lose, the ten-pounds-in-two-weeks
rate is more accomplishable. Weight loss is large in the early stages
of the diet when calories intake is large.
